Sandown Properties LTD –Sat 13th  March 2021 - UPDATE

Dear guests;

Following on from Mark Drakeford’s announcement on Friday 12th March 2021 we are delighted to announce that as of Sat 27th March 2021 we will able to receive guests at our self -catering holiday accommodation for those who live in Wales only and comprise of a single household.

From 12th April 2021 this invitation will be extended across the border to those who reside in other parts of the UK providing that they also make up a single household only.

From 27th May 2021 those who live in England will be able to go on holiday with up to two households however Wales have yet to formally announce that this will also apply to Wales until the next review date in 3 weeks’ time (in or around 2nd April 2021)

  1. What if we are from more than two households can we still book a holiday?

Until the next review date in 3 weeks’ time (In or around 2nd April) we suggest that guests who comprise of more than two households refrain from making any imminent new bookings until we have further guidelines on confirmed dates for the extended roadmap out of lockdown.

  1. How about a summer booking for more than two households can we book?

We appreciate that staycations are going to be the favoured choice this year and therefore availability is going to be limited due to demand therefore we are currently accepting Summer bookings (with an arrival date after 16th July 2021) for those travelling with more than two households on the condition that the booking is subject to review pending the next announcement.

  1. Can I get a refund if the new guidelines mean we are unable to travel?

  1. When is my balance payment due?

Our normal policy has been relaxed and we are currently requesting balance payments 6 weeks in advance rather than our usual policy of 8 weeks. You may get an automated email from our booking system requesting payment, please don’t be alarmed if you are still not ready to pay as these emails are automated.

  1. Do I need to do anything different during our stay?

Before you travel you should familiarise yourself with our COVID guest arrival information page on our website by clicking on this link https://www.trearddurbayholidayhomes.com/covid-19

Sat 5th Dec 2020 - Updated COVID_19 STATEMENT Author Richard Tuke

Dear Guests;

Following on from the announcement made yesterday, the Welsh Government have finally outlined a policy for self-catering accommodation holidays in Wales effective as of 6pm on Fri 4th Dec 2020.

Those in TIER 1 and TIER 2 areas of England are permitted to book overnight self-catering holiday accommodation in Wales on the strict condition that all members of the booking must be of the same household. Extended households/mixed households/those in a bubble are not included in this new policy. There is a review date of 17th Dec 2020 and every 3 weekly after this date but we speculate that this rule will be in place until January 2021.

We request that all those with current December 2020 bookings contact us by email as a matter of urgency to confirm the composition of their party members and whether we need to suspend their booking based on this new policy. We kindly request that all those guests who are not permitted to travel suspend their booking and move their deposit across to a future date in 2021. Availability can be seen on our website www.trearddurbayholidayhomes.com. If you are unable to move your booking then a full refund will be issued less the £15.00 booking fee which is non-refundable.

Over the Christmas period (between 23rd-27th Dec 2020) there is an easement and relaxation in these rules which allows extended households/bubbles/mixed households to meet therefore if your booking falls within these dates please contact us also as we may need to amend your arrival and departure date to fix in with the new rules.

Those bookings who are single households, we welcome you now please to make your final balance payment so that we can send you your arrival instructions for your upcoming booking.

More information can be seen on the Governments website by clicking on the below link

UPDATE 13TH OCT 2020

Dear Guests,

Following on from yesterday's new Tier System announcement please find below a summary which may answer any queries that you may have about your upcoming holiday with us.

As of Tues 13th Oct 2020 there still are currently no local restrictions on Anglesey and we remain in TIER 1.

What does this mean?

  • People living in an area of Wales with no local restrictions are free to travel anywhere with no local restrictions - whether inside or outside the country.
  • Visitors from elsewhere in the UK who are also in TIER 1 can also take holidays in areas of Wales without restrictions.
  • People from a TIER 2 OR TIER 3 AREA CAN NOT TRAVEL TO WALES AS OF 6PM FRI 16TH OCT 2020

What are the rules for England?

Tier One

  • If you live in an area with the lowest rates of infection - Tier One - the rules are similar to those that have already been in force across England
  • You can holiday anywhere in England that's also in Tier One
  • You can holiday with people from other households (as long as you socially distance), but only in groups of six and under
  • Only members of the same household or support bubble can share private accommodation (such as a cottage or apartment)
  • You can stay in a hotel or B&B with another household, but you should avoid sharing rooms with people you don't live with, and avoid socialising with them indoors - for example in restaurants or bars

Tier Two

  • People who live in Tier Two areas should aim to "reduce the number of journeys they make where possible" - according to the government
  • You can go on holiday outside your local area as long as you don't share accommodation with people you don't live or bubble with, or socialise with them in any indoor setting
  • People visiting a Tier Two area should follow the local Covid rules for that area

Tier Three

  • If you live in a Tier Three area - which at the moment is only the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Halton council areas) - you're being told to avoid travelling outside of your local area - unless it's for work, education or caring responsibilities
  • You should also avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK - which includes going on holiday
  • People from Tier One and Tier Two areas are urged not to stay overnight in a Tier Three area

If you have any ongoing concern about your future booking please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will address each query on an individual basis.

Thank you for your continued support
